Pig & Pilgrim was born from a love of food cooked well over fire, a love of artisanal hand crafting, and a passion for the two.

Pig & Pilgrim was created because of founder Charlie’s obsession with designing and building his own barbecues from scratch and his love of cooking with fire. After countless requests to make barbecues for friends and family, Pig & Pilgrim was born. Our premier product is The P1, our stand-alone, Argentinean-style Santa Maria Parrilla Grill - handmade by Charlie in Sydney, Australia.

The beauty of this big piggie is its height-adjustable grill plate, which can be raised or lowered over the charcoal using a winch and wheel, allowing the cook to modify the amount of heat reaching the food for a perfect smoky char on meat, chicken, fish and vegetables every time. It’s a practical, but also very creative and hands-on way to cook with charcoal - ideal for anyone who lives and breathes real barbecue or beginners who are ready to experiment with charcoal for the first time.

Because our Pig & Pilgrim Argentinean-style Santa Maria Parrilla Grills are made by hand they may not be as perfect and polished as the mass-produced ones you can find in some stores. They may have small lumps and bumps which we think add character. But we guarantee they’re made with top-quality materials, thoughtful design and a whole lot of love.
